This is the world's first polar icebreaker This is also one of the longest-serving icebreakers in the world. It was called Yermak . Yermak was built for the Imperial Russian Navy in 1898. And it was scrapped in 1964. It was 97.5 m long and 21.6 m wide and at the busiest times there was 102 crew on it.
