It's easy but the way you cut can make it a difficult day at the sea. Here you will see a good sample of cutting bonito bait with tail, by a pro staff of LRM Tackle.  This is how they get ready for swordfish in Florida. I have tried this method in Cyprus and it worked for barracuda and great amberjack as well.

Fishing License in Turkey - How To Get Fishing License In Turkey

Do I need to get a fishing license in Turkey?
Do I need fishing license to fish from the boat in Turkey?
Do I need fishing license for LRF in Turkey?

Turkey has become a very popular country for amateur anglers from all around the world. Many of them keep asking me about the legal details. Well, technically, Yes. You do need a license. But it is not mandatory.

If you are going to fish from the shore:
No licence is needed.  You are visiting Turkey for a short period and you want to go around for LRF, Shore jigging, surfcasting, rock fishing etc.. You are free to enjoy your time.

If you are going to fish from the boat:
A fishing licence is no longer required in Turkey for amateur and recreational fishing from a boat; but the person you go fishing with (usually the owner of the boat) must hold a permit. If you rent a boat for deep sea fishing, do not forget to ask about the rules and regulations.

Jackson Artist FR 105 - Review

A Review for Jackson Artist Lure.
I was looking for a different lure that must be sparkling and I can retrieve so fast to attract all kind of species especially right before sunrise and after sunset. It also should not rattling. Because places I usually go for spinning are rather rocky shores where it suddenly gets deeper and the big pieces of rocks lay at the bottom and most of those predatory ones hang around them and they attack their victims senselessly if something swims around them so fast. They are not much attracted to any kind of sound. They just want something getting wild like themselves.
Artist FR 105 Saltwater Lure
So, when I saw this beautifully designed sinking hard bait on Jackson Lure website, I knew it was what exactly I have been looking for! It looks so simple but when you handle it, it feels so different. Unique shape of tail, perfectly shaped lip, huge dark eyes in red head and super-shiny body makes Jackson Artist FR 105 absolutely perfect for my needs. It's 105mm, Sinking, 15g and made in Japan.

What makes Jackson Artist Lure so special?
Easy casting, perfect weight, ultra-fast retrieve or dead-slow retrieve, both ways give you huge confident and excitement.

What did you catch with Artist FR 105?
Barracuda, Leerfish, Bonito

Those big beautiful eyes make it look so alive and energetic that provokes all the speed loving predators.

Fly Fishing In Sardinia

How To Fly-Fishing in Sardinia
Is it possible to catch anything by using flies in Sardinia?
What to catch by Fly-Fishing in Sardinia
Well, fly fishing in Mediterranean is not as easy as in Pacific or Caribbean. Fishes of this water are so clever and believe me, most of them are much more smarter than us. Especially catching saddled sea bream is a very tricky job, with any type of rigs and baits. If you don't know how to deal with them, they make you feel like a pathetic loser.
But some anglers will never give up! Like this guy in the video. He must be a talented fly fishing enthusiast.  He says he used these materials for his flies: Green tinsel, Blue tinsel, Red 3d eyes, UV epoxy, Dog hairs (my dog) on Mustad hook S74SZ-340011 size 4. And bingo! He made it! Smarthead saddled bream is in the basket! If you travel to Sardinia, take your fly fishing gear with you. You never know what you will hook up!

Bassday Crystal Popper Review

Review for Bassday Crystal Popper Lure
This is a magic lure for those who like light but wild top water spinning. It is a tiny transparent popper which makes it more attractive to predators especially when there is too much sunshine as its body reflects the light. Its a slowly sinking popper which gives you advantage of using it with different retrieve techniques. It also has a cute look that makes you feel good when you find it in your lure box.
A Genuine Review For Bassday Crystal Popper
I used this popper at the beach, around reefs and harbors. When I cast it into bait fish cloud, It acts like a member of them and the big hungry boys notice it quickly.  Here you can see different colours and sizes of Crystal Popper on Amazon.

I sometimes retrieve it very fast and make splashes on the surface but not all the time. it's up to the conditions of water and targeted species. Its more effective when it makes splashes in early mornings. And I got more bites when I retrieve slowly right before and after the sunset.

What did you catch with "Bassday Crystal Popper 30" ?
At the sea; Seabass, mullet, bream, saddled bream, leerfish, rockfish, sargo, needlefish.
At lake and river: bass, chub, perch

Which colour of it did you use?
I tried couple of different colours but definitely my favourite is Bassday Crystal Popper 30 - GH-108

Parrotfish on Marukyu Isome and Rocket Plus Jighead

This is one of my favorite rock fishes, The Mediterranean Parrotfish. I love catching these wild boys. Even a small one will make you feel like there is a whale on your hook. You can easily find them along sharp rocky shores. You don't need to look into deep waters. If you see a wild spot -especially huge single rocks or coral reefs, but not so deep, there you will definitely get one!

Fishing Season in Trinidad and Tobago

When to go fishing in Trinidad & Tobago.

Trinidad & Tobago is a fishing heaven, especially if you like catching big predator species. If you are into offshore fishing, most productive time of the year is from October to June. Winter immigration in the depths of these beautiful islands brings you the most exciting fishing experiences around Caribbean.
Fishing in Trinidad and Tobago
What will you catch?
Barracuda, blue marlin, kingfish, tuna, dolphin fish (mahi mahi), sailfish, swordfish and wahoo. There are some species like tarpon, tuna and sharks are always there whenever you want to find one year around.

You will definitely have some fight with some of these big boys when you join a fishing tour around the islands.

Dont't forget; if you take your own gear, remember, you will meet real fighter species at rough conditions, so chose good quality products, mono, braids and stuff that protect you from the sun.
If you join special tours, they will provide all the equipment.

LRF
Sure! Light fishing is very popular during the whole year. There are too many little bays, quiet beaches and harbors for LRF, spinning and traditional classic light casting with dead or live baits. As soon as your line drops in the water , you will meet with mullet, red snapper, tarpon, parrotfish, grouper and wrasse everywhere.

Hardcore Duel Fintail Light Dart Lure Review

What do you think about this interesting lure?
There are almost millions of different lures in the market, but, unfortunately not many of them come with tail.

I like lures with tail. It's not just so effective but also very, very realistic. I don't know why I can't find more of cool things like that. Even the biggest lure companies not into this kind of products. Except Japanese ones, of course. As many other cool and quality stuff come from there, lure with fintail also comes from this fishing-gear-heaven country.
Here you can see how also it looks like under UV Light.
 Duel Fintail Lure Review

This is Duel's Hardcore Fintail Light Dart Lure. It's only 90 mm. It comes in various colours. It weights 20gr or 16gr and sinking. And the hook size is #6

And here the pro-staff show us how to cast and retrieve it for most successful catching.

Ice Fishing Underwater Video - Perch Panfish Bluegill Under The Ice

Have you ever seen how the fish behave under the ice while you are waiting to catch them above the ice?
Ice Fishing Underwater Video
For us, ice fishing is not as comfortable as summer beach fishing and its not everyone's taste really. But for the fishes, there is not much difference if you know how to do it right.  Again, right place, right time, right bait..  Ice or Fire.. you will catch it!

Now watch these perch, panfish and bluegil having good time under the ice.. whatever goes on above. Action was filmed in Philadelphia.

Zander Fishing With Cannibal Shad Lure

What do you think about Savage Gear Cannibal Shad?
There are a lot of anglers around Europe trying almost every possible way to catch a big zander. In recent years soft plastic lures and hundreds varieties of shads have been so popular to hook up such big zanders. But not all of them are so effective although they looks so attractive to our eyes (but they look different to fishes).  There are some lures which always give more satisfaction. "Savage Gear Cannibal Shad" is one of them. A truly killer shad for big zanders. I have got some different sizes and colours, too. It never fails me.

This guy, I think he is from Netherlands, shows us how to do it perfectly. Look at him! What an exciting zander action!

Cattle Tongue Plastic Worm Lure Underwater Movements

Here you can see the movements and actions of a Megabass cattle tongue lure under the water.

Megabass Cattle Tongue Plastic Worm LureIt is a plastic soft worm for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. It is a sinking soft plastic with a flat tail for extra movement. "Megabass cattle tongue plastic worm" is ideal to catch bass, perch, zander, seabass, snapper, bream, pike and all kind of species that live in sandy bottoms, rocks, weedy lakes and rivers.

With the combined effect of the thin and fat ribs on its body, the CATTLE TONGUE displays an alluring wiggling motion like that of live bait during straight retrieves.

The uniquely shaped tail, which gets thinner at one point, then fatter again, sends shivers through the body with a slight delay, creating that moment of buildup that lures in bites from fish determined to keep their prey from escaping. During falls, the water resistance interacts with the unique body shape to create an undulating motion, hooking even the most particular of fish.
